Problem Statement

As the marketing director and designer for GreenPlanetWholesale, I was tasked with redesigning the website and brand to appeal to the Canadian cannabis market. GreenPlanetWholesale, a prominent Canadian cannabis wholesaler, was facing the challenge of expanding its presence across the country and making a mark in the newly legalized industry. As part of the GreenPlanet umbrella company, it was important to maintain a consistent look and feel with the other brands, while still standing out as a leader in the cannabis wholesale industry.

The redesigned website and brand needed to showcase GreenPlanetWholesale’s vast product offerings and unique value propositions, while also providing a user-friendly experience for their B2B clients. In addition, we needed to create a strong presence at tradeshows and events to build brand recognition and trust among potential customers.

Through a comprehensive redesign process, we successfully created a cohesive brand image that reflected the quality and professionalism of GreenPlanetWholesale’s offerings. We also created a website that provided a user-friendly experience, with easy navigation and informative content that highlighted the company’s products and services.

As a result of our efforts, GreenPlanetWholesale became a recognized industry leader with a strong presence at tradeshows and events across Canada. The brand’s Canada-wide presence and reputation for quality products and exceptional customer service helped to drive significant growth for the company.

Research

Competition: Hawthorne / Stellar Wholesale / BioFloral

Creating a business starts with research:

  • Competitor Research (Local – Canada)
  • Industry Research (Global -What / Who / Why / How)- Issue, Canada is the first country to fully legalize.
  • Self Discovery Research (Other Industries & Interests)

One of the biggest issues with working within the Cannabis sector is the legalization of this product within countries. Social Media and websites tend to be US-first. As most corporations have their routes within the US, therefore the US holds a pivotal point of view of how content is allowed to be portrayed on the digital front.

Summary

As the marketing director and designer for GreenPlanet Wholesale, a prominent Canadian cannabis wholesaler, I gained extensive experience in creating a cohesive brand image and online presence for a company operating in the newly legalized industry of cannabis. The challenge was to merge GreenPlanet Wholesale’s unique offerings and target audience with the overall brand image of the GreenPlanet umbrella company, while also establishing a Canada-wide presence and increasing visibility at tradeshows.

Through my work, I successfully redesigned GreenPlanet Wholesale’s website and branding, creating a cohesive look and feel that accurately represented the company’s values and offerings. I also utilized my skills in marketing and branding to help establish the company as a leader in the Canadian cannabis industry, increasing their visibility at tradeshows and expanding their reach to customers across the country.

My experience with GreenPlanet Wholesale highlights my ability to navigate the challenges of branding and marketing in a new and rapidly-evolving industry, while also effectively promoting a company’s unique offerings and values. As a result, I am well-equipped to help other companies establish a strong and recognizable brand image, increase their visibility, and become industry leaders in their respective fields.
