I have been creative since I was able to walk.
From the time I could walk, I’ve been creative. Words weren’t easy for me as a child but tinkering around came naturally. My Grandmother used to tell me that I would collect all the nuts, bolts, and materials on the floor around the farm and create something at home. These found items were used to create various things, from a coconut skier leaping high off his ski ramp to creating free-standing sculptures(Very abstract- just figuring out how to stick things together).
From an early age, I saw the world differently from my many siblings. Where they would see junk, I would see the potential.
It wasn’t until my year doing an Art Foundation Degree at University that I fully submersed myself in all forms of creativity. I was learning all the potential mediums available, which bought me to where I am today.
Some may say that I’ve been fine-tuning my craft since I’ve been able to walk – finding new ways to be creative.
