The Red Lion, a pub located in the Northamptonshire countryside of the United Kingdom, required a modernized logo to stand out in a sea of over 300 other Red Lion pubs. As the pub prides itself on its food and extensive drink list, I based the new logo on the three main glasses used within the pub. The final design became a simple yet effective representation of a glass with a lion’s mane, embodying the pub’s unique identity.
The challenge in this project was creating a logo that was not only recognizable and memorable, but also functional and unique. The new design had to appeal to the target audience of families and individuals of all ages within Denton, UK. Through the process, I developed a keen sense of how to create a brand identity that aligns with a business’s values and unique selling points. The project allowed me to apply my skills in creating abstract, simple, and clean designs that are still highly effective and memorable.
